Airbus companies in pact with 3 desi startups
Two Airbus subsidiaries on Friday signed deals with three Indian startups. Airbus unit Navblue signed up Bengaluru-based Stelae Technologies for checking aeronautical data services quality and consistency. Navblue also extended its contract with Eflight, which aims at wholistic services solutions for Indian domestic aviation market.
A third agreement was signed between Airbus Aerial and Navi Mumbai-based Airpix for a joint go-to-market geo-analytics solution and imagery services in India.
Union minister of commerce, industry and civil aviation Suresh Prabhu in a teleconference said that he was impressed with the interest shown by Airbus towards nurturing an aerospace startup ecosystem in India. “I have visited Airbus’ facility overseas and it was a futuristic experience. I am confident Airbus will aid innovation and industry in the country,” he said. Bruno Gutierres, global head of Airbus BizLab — the aircraft maker’s accelerator programme, said for the past couple of years he had been convinced about the potential and quality of entrepreneurs in India.
