Exclusive: Cross Border Angels & Mentors closes several funding rounds post its flagship conference
CBA, Cross Border Angels & Mentors, an international investment club dedicated to facilitating cross border investments with investors from various countries have closed several funding rounds in startups that were present in its flagship conference Startup India Rocks 2016. CBA is a part of Scaale Group, a growth catalyst with global presence.
Startup India Rocks is Scaale’s annual startup conference, where in 2016, companies from different cities competed to get the winner prize, funding opportunities, mentorship and strategic alliances with corporates. In its second year of operations, Startup India Rocks, held at SAP Labs in Bengaluru, India over 100 companies pitched and the conference was attended by over 350 delegates in total which included 75+ corporates & investors. The team conducted a 16 – city road show to identify the most innovative startups from these cities across India. The endeavor was to reach out to 1000+ startups across these cities from the 20 City Tour to eventually compete on one platform.
Many companies have received investment commitments post the event. Close to about USD 500,000 has been committed across startups & discussions are ongoing for more than USD 1 Million. Corporates also showed interest in engaging with some of the technology ventures with a view to plan joint go to market strategies or product development.

The platform covers all the aspects of educational business, including administrative, academic and accounting activities. The platform is being used by more than 150+ Institutes today in various parts of the country. “We aim to be an online platform for on-demand services in education and plan to launch more services at the student/parent level for revenue generation from the end user & on-board 1000+ schools in the next 18-24 months,” said Pravin Sharma CEO & Founder.
